The Pitt-Johnstown soccer teams return home to host a pair of matches, Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer field.

Head Coach Eric Kinsey's men's squad will take on Central Penn in a non-conference match at noon, before the Mountain Cat women, under Head Coach Aideen O'Donoghue, play host to a PSAC Western Division match against seventh-ranked Gannon at 2:30 p.m.

The Mountain Cat men had their three-match winning streak to begin the season snapped with a 4-1 setback at Shepherd (WV) on Wednesday and come in at 3-1-0.  Jaeger James accounted for Pitt-Johnstown's goals and Sebastian Roman Rivera made 10 saves in net.

Central Penn, under Head Coach Chris Hartman, is 4-1-1 following a 3-1 loss to Christendom on Sept 20.  Thursday's match against Central Bucks Community College was postponed.

The Mountain Cats and Knights have met twice since the 2022 season and Pitt-Johnstown has won both matches.  On Sept 20, 2022, the Mountain Cats picked up a 5-1 victory in Johnstown, before defeating the Knights, 5-1, in Enola, Pa. on Sept. 23, 2024.

Pitt-Johnstown will begin PSAC West-play with home matches against California (PA) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the women's team and Gannon on Oct. 4 at noon.

The Pitt-Johnstown women, 0-2-3 overall and 0-2-1 in the PSAC West, look to bounce back from a 6-0 setback at Indiana (PA) on Wednesday and a 3-1 conference loss at Edinboro last Saturday.

Gannon, ranked seventh in this week's NSCAA NCAA Division II Poll, raised its record to 6-0-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the PSAC West with a 6-0 win at Seton Hill last Saturday and a 2-1 win at Edinboro on Wednesday.

Last year, the Golden Knights won three matches against Pitt-Johnstown, including a 3-0 victory in Erie in the first Round of the PSAC Tournament on Nov. 12.  Jessie Watkins scored a pair of goals for Gannon, while Emma Morin made five saves in goal for the Mountain Cats.

Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC match against Seton Hill on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men's team, before visiting Slippery Rock for a conference match on Oct. 4.
