The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's soccer teams will host a pair of PSAC West matches, Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown soccer field. The women will take on Seton Hill at 1:30, before the men kick-off their conference against California (PA) at 4 p.m.
Head Coach Eric Kinsey's men's squad improved to 4-1-0 with a 5-0 home win over Central Penn on Saturday.
Ryan Kyei Boahen collected three goals, including one on a penalty kick, while
Oscar Trilles Monferrer and
Roberto Lozano accounted for the other two goals for the Mountain Cats, who outshot the Knights, 23-8.

Head Coach Emidin Sabic, will also begin PSAC West-action on Wednesday. The Vulcans are coming off of a 0-0 draw at Shippensburg last Wednesday and a 3-1 loss at West Chester on Saturday.
Brady Olsen scored the goal for California (PA) against West Chester.
The Mountain Cats and Vulcans met twice during the 2024 season. On Oct. 9, the teams met in California and
PJ Derkson made four saves to help Pitt-Johnstown secure a 0-0 draw. On Oct. 30 at Windber Stadium,
Alexzander Toto gave the Mountain Cats an early 1-0 lead, but the Vulcans battled back for a 2-1 victory.
The Mountain Cats will host a conference match against Gannon, Saturday at noon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Lock Haven for another conference match next Wednesday.
Head Coach Aideen O'Donoghue's Pitt-Johnstown women's team enters the match with a 0-3-3 overall record and a 0-3-1 mark in the PSAC West following Saturday's 3-0 l home setback to No. 7 Gannon.
Sarah Henry accounted for the Mountain Cats' goal, while
Parker Grimm made a dozen saves in goal for Pitt-Johnstown.
Third-year Head
Coach Riley Butler and the Seton Hill Griffins are 2-4-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the PSAC West. The Griffins came away with a 1-1 conference draw against California (PA) last Wednesday, then got a goal from
Katie Pazdziorko in a 2-1 loss at Clarion on Saturday.
Last season, the Mountain Cats picked up a win and a draw against the Vulcans. On Sept. 21 in Greensburg,
Emma Morin made five saves in a 0-0 draw, before Pitt-Johnstown earned a 2-0 home in on Oct. 19 behind goals from Henry and
Haley Neidig.
Pitt-Johnstown visits Slippery Rock for a PSAC West match on Saturday, then returns home to host conference matches against California (PA) on Oct. 8 and Edinboro on Oct. 15. Both home matches are scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
