The fourth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers took advantage of four technical fall and pin from 18^th-ranked Brad Morrison at 197 lbs. and fourth-ranked Isaiah Vance at 285 lbs. to erase a three-point deficit midway through the match to hand UNC-Pembroke a 30-16 loss in Sunday's first round of the Fairmont State Duals in Fairmont, W.Va.
 
A 16-1 technical fall at 4:33 from top-ranked Trevon Gray at 125 lbs., followed by Tyson Cook's 24-7 tech fall at 3:46 over Samuel Hutchinson at 133 lbs., gave the Mountain Cats a quick 10-0 lead.
 
UNC-Pembroke answered with a three straight wins to take the lead.  At 141 lbs., Donovan Edwards slipped past Gideon Bracken, 5-3 to get the Braves on the scoreboard.  A 17-4 major decision from No. 20 Avery Buonocore over Braxton Rice at 141 lbs., a fall from Keegan Roberson at 157 lbs. put UNC-Pembroke on top, 13-10.
 
However, Pitt-Johnstown responded to win four of the final five bouts to close out the victory.  Pitt-Johnstown's Trent Hoover, ranked 18^th at 165 lbs., held off No 20 Caleb Grau, 9-5 to know it at 13, and 15^th-ranked Ty Morrison dealt Logan Hoffman a 15-0 technical fall loss at 4:01 to put the Mountain Cats on top for good.
 
The Braves cut it to 18-16 with a win at 184 lbs., but Brad Morrison pinned Jackson Buck at 2:44 at 197 lbs., and Vance took just :32 to pin Christian Hercules-Pleitez to set the final at 30-16 hand help Pitt-Johnstown improve to 5-0.
 
With the loss, UNC-Pembroke slipped to 10-4 on the year.
