Red-shirt freshman Trent Hoover (165 lbs.) and true freshman Ty Morrison knocked off the No, 3 and No, 1-ranked wrestlers in the most recent Division II Open Mat rankings to lead the fifth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers to a dominating, 31-11, PSAC victory at Kutztown on Friday.  The Mountain Cats improved to 8-0 and 2-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Mountain Cats jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead with top-ranked Trevon Gray's 17-2 technical fall at 7:00 over Nic Allison.
 
Kutztown cut it to 5-3 with a decision win at 133 lbs., but Pitt-Johnstown responded with five straight wins to build a commanding 25-3 advantage.
 
At 141 lbs., Gideon Bracken ran out to a first period lead and dealt Joey Ortega a 16-6 major decision setback, and fourth-ranked Matt Sarbo took just 1:40 to pin Logan Hrenenko at 149 lbs.
 
After Cooper Warshel won a 17-8 major decision over Hunter Horton at 157 lbs. the Mountain Cats got the huge upset wins at 165 and 174 lbs. when 18^th-ranked Hoover defeated No.3 Bailey Gimbor, 10-3, and No. 15 Morrison followed by shutting out No. 1-ranked Dalton Gimbor, 6-0, to increase it to 25-3 and put the match away.
 
With the outcome already determined, the Golden Bears got a 2-1 TB-1 victory from No. 9 Cole Casilio at 184 lbs., and No. 19 won by technical fall at 197 lbs. to make it 25-11, but Michael Mazurek's forfeit win at 285 lbs., gave the Mountain Cats six more points and set the final at 31-11.
 
Kutztown fell to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will take on Saint Vincent in a non-conference match at Bishop McCort High School on Thursday, before returning to the Sports Center to celebrate Winterfest Weekend with a PSAC match against Seton Hill on Friday at 7 p.m.
