The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team improved to 5-3 following a four-game split with East Stroudsburg over the weekend and climbed into the No. 10 spot in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Poll, when it was released on Monday.
After dropping the opener to the Warriors on Friday, the Mountain Cats came back with a 2-0 win in the nightcap. On Saturday, Pitt-Johnstown bounced back from a 4-0 loss in game one with an 11-2 victory in game two.
Seton Hill held on to the top spot with 109 points. Millersville, West Chester, California (PA), and Slippery Rock Round out this week's Top-5. Pitt-Johnstown, which received votes in the poll last week, is 10th with nine points.
