Wrestlers Look For 27th Crown at This Weekend’s NCAA Super Region I Tournament in East Stroudsburg

The Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers, ranked fifth in the in the most recent Open Mat Tournament Rankings under second-year Head Coach Tyler Reinhart, will head to East Stroudsburg University's Koehler Fieldhouse for Saturday's 2026 NCAA Division II Super Region I Tournament in search of the program's 27's regional championship.
 
Twelve teams are scheduled to participate, with the top three wrestlers in each of the 10 weight classes advancing to the NCAA Division II National Tournament in Sioux Falls, SD on March 14 and 15.
 
Ticket Information
-- Admission for the day will be $15 for adults and $10 for students, children, and seniors.  (Tickets can only be purchased at the front entrance of Kohler Fieldhouse)
 
Along with the fifth-ranked Mountain Cats, this year's Super I Regional Tournament will feature several other of the nation's top-ranked tournament teams, including No. 3 Gannon University, No. 19 Frostburg State (MD) University, No. 22 Kutztown University, No. 23 Fairmont State (WV) University, and No. 25 Shippensburg University.
 
In addition to the nationally ranked teams, University of Bridgeport (CT), East Stroudsburg University, Felician (NJ) University, Millersville University, Seton Hill University, and Wheeling (WV) University.
 
Seven of the ten Mountain Cat wrestlers come into the tournament nationally-ranked, including No. 1-ranked Trevon Gray at 125 lbs. and third ranked Matt Sarbo at 149 lbs.  In addition, Isaiah Vance (No. 4 at 285 lbs.), Ty Morrison (6th at 174 lbs.), Chad Ozias (No. 9 at 149 lbs.), Brad Morrison (No. 9 at 197 lbs.) and Trent Hoover (No. 10 at 174 lbs.)
 
All 10 of the weight classes boast at least one individually-ranked wrestler.
 
In 2025, Gray, Ozias, and Dakoda Rodgers (197 lbs.) all won super Region I titles, while Gnibus and Vance both finished second to qualify for the National Tournament and lead the Mountain Cats to their 26th NCAA Regional crown in Fairmont State (WV) University

184 lbs.Noah Gnibus (SR) (2025 Regional Runner-up and NCAA National Qualifier)
197 lbs. – #9 Brad Morrison (R-JR) (2024 Regional Champion and NCAA All-American)

Schedule of Events
Doors Open For Spectators at 9 a.m.
 
--Session I will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m., with the First Round, Championship semifinals & consolation quarterfinals (3 mats) followed by consolation semifinals (3 mats).
 
--Session II will follow with the Championship Semifinals, Consolation Round 3, and Semifinals) (3 mats).
 
--Session III will follow at approximately 4:00/%:00 p.m. and consist of Placement Matches: 1st, 3rd, 5th; (True-4th matches to follow if necessary). (3 mats)
