Six Wrestlers Headed to NCAA Division II National Championships in Sioux Falls, SD

Six Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat wrestlers punched their tickets and will travel to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, SD to compete in Friday and Saturday's 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Championships where the top eight place winners in each of the 10 weight classes earn NCAA All-America honors.
 
Second-year Head Coach Tyler Reinhart's Mountain Cats finished third with six national qualifiers at the 2026 NCAA Super Region I Tournament, Feb. 28 at East Stroudsburg University.
 
Red-shirt junior Brad Morrison (197 lbs.) won his first regional championship and earned the No. 8 seed for the national tournament, while fellow red-shirt junior Matt Sarbo (149. Lbs.) and true freshman Ty Morrison (174 lbs.) were both regional runners-up.  Sarbo is seeded fourth and Ty Morrison is seventh for the national championships.
 
In addition, freshman Brady Baker (133 lbs.), red-shirt freshman Trent Hoover (165 lbs.), and red-shirt senior and two-time All-American Isaiah Vance (285 lbs.) all placed third at the regional tournament.  Vance earned the No. 6 seed at 285 lbs. for the national tournament.
 
In 2025, Nebraska-Kearney with 115.0 points.  Augustana State (SD) (63.0 points), St. Cloud State (MN) (57.5 points), Lander (SC) (56.0 points) and Central Oklahoma (55.5 points) rounded out the top-five.  Pitt-Johnstown finished 13 with 33.5 points.

Friday's First Session will begin at 11 a.m. ET with the Preliminary matches and the First Round. (120 matches), (approx. 3 ½ hours)
 
Friday's Session II is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and will feature Championship Second Round matches and the 1st & 2nd Round of the Consolation, 6 mats (120 matches), (approx. 3 ½ hours)
 
On Saturday, Session III will start at 11 a.m. ET and consists of the Championship Semifinals, 3rd Round of Consolations, Consolation Semifinals, and 3rd, 5th, 7th Place Matches, (90 matches), (approx. 5 hours)
 
The Parade of All-Americans will take place on Saturday at 7:40 p.m. ET, followed the Championship Finals scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET (10 matches).
