Men's Soccer Falls, 1-0, at West Virginia Wesleyan

Just like Tuesday's home match againt La Roche College, Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team gave up a first half goal and went on to suffer a 1-0 loss. This time, Pitt Johnstown lost a 1-0 decision at West Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday. The Mountain Cats are now 6-7-1 on the season.
West Virginia Wesleyan's Adam DeClerico scored what turned out to be the game winner when his direct kick at 15:14 of the first half found the back of the net behind Mountain Cat freshman goal keeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.).
Pitt Johnstown got five of its 11 shots from sophomore forward Jason Swope (Indiana, Pa.). However, the Mountain Cats could not beat West Virginia Wesleyan goalkeeper George Rowley, who earned the shutout.
West Virginia Wesleyan had 22 shots, including 10 shots on goal.
Neff made nine saves but took the loss and fell to 5-7-1.
With the victory, West Virginia Wesleyan improved to 7-6-1 on the year.
The Mountain Cats host Wheeling Jesuit University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., before traveling to Point Park University on Thursday.
