Arik Misler's Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Over Point Park

The Mountain Cat soccer team snapped a four-match losing streak with a solid 2-1 victory Thursday night at Point Park University. Sophomore forward Arik Misler's (Johnstown, Pa.) goal late in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and helped Head Coach Eric Kinsey's team improved to 7-8-1.
Pitt Johnstown sophomore Phil Belcastro (Pittsburgh, Pa.) started the scoring with a goal off of an assist from Chris Hawkins (Scottdale, Pa.) in the 44th minute. The scored remained the same until Point Park tied the match in the 64th minute. However, Misler's goal off of Hawkins' second assist of the night in the 85th minute gave the Mountain Cats the victory.
Mountain Cat freshman goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) raised his record to 6-8-1 after making five saves and giving up one goal.
Pitt Johnstown outshot Point Park 21-12 for the match, including holding a 15-6 advantage in shots on goal.
The Mountain Cats travel to Ohio Valley (WV) University on Saturday, before returning home to celebrate Senior Day and play thier final match of the season against the University of District of Columbia on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
