Mountain Cat Soccer Scores 2-1 Win at La Roche

Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team erased a 1-0 halftime deficit with second half goals from Arik Misler (Johnstown, Pa.) and Phil Belcastro (Pittsburgh, Pa.) to earn a 2-1 win at La Roche College, Monday afternoon. Pitt Johnstown made it three straight wins and improved to 5-1-0.
After trailing 1-0 to start the second half, the Mountain Cats got rolling. Misler tied the match off an assist from defender Joe Cronan (Indiana, Pa.) in the 50th minute, before Belcastro took a pass from junior midfielder Ben Sera (North Huntingdon, Pa.) and scored the game-winning goal in the 71st minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) surrendered just one goal and made three saves to remain undefeated and improve to 5-0-0.
With the loss, La Roche fell to 4-3-1 on the year.
Pitt Johnstown returns home to host California University (PA) for non-conference match on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., before hosting WVIAC rival Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
