Women's Soccer Falls to Concord, 3-0

Head Coach Crystal Dye's Pitt Johnstown women's soccer team gave up two first half goals and suffered a 3-0 home loss, Sunday afternoon to WVIAC rival Concord (WV) University. With the loss, Pitt Johnstown fell to 7-9-0 overall and 3-6-0 in the WVIAC.
Concord's Jenny Cleland scored back-to-back goals off of assists from Gemma Nortcliffe in the 10th and 13th minutes to put the Mountain Lions up 2-0 at halftime. Concord then added a goal by Lindsey DeVaughn in the 77th minute to set the final score at 3-0.
Pitt Johnstown's Lindsay Plowman (Apollo, Pa.) led the team with six shots, while Alicia Zack (Irwin, Pa.) had three shots in a losing cause.
Red-shirt freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) faced 14 shots from the Mountain Lions and made four saves, but gave up all three goals. Paha is now 5-6-0 on the season. Concord goalkeeper Sarah Coelho saw 15 shots and made three saves to earn the victory.
With the win, Concord improved to 9-6-1 overall and 7-2-1 in WVIAC play.
Pitt Johnstown travels to Shepherd (WV) University for a WVIAC match on Wednesday, before hosting Ohio Valley (WV) University for another conference match on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
