Kelsey Sleighter poured in a game-high 26 points, and
Olivia Rizzo hit four straight free-throws in the final 19 seconds to lead the Lady Cats to an 85-80 overtime PSAC Crossover victory over Lock Haven University, Tuesday night in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the PSAC Western Division.

After falling behind by six out of the gate, Pitt-Johnstown outscored Lock Haven 19-8 over the next six minutes to build a six-point lead.

Jasmine Harper's bucket at 12:40 gave the Lady Cats their first lead of the night, before two free-throws and a 3-pointer from
Kayla DeCriscio pushed it out to 19-14 with 11:27 left.

Kelsey Sleighter's 10 first half points helped the Lady Cats maintain the six-point advantage midway through the half, but a jumper by Rachael McDaniel and basket in the paint by Marrysa Moyer gave the lead back to the Bald Eagles at the six-minute mark.

It stayed close the remainder of the half. DeCriscio's free-throw put Pitt-Johnstown on top 34-31. However, Lock Haven tied it with a minute left, and Loren Kaiser's pull-up jumper in the lane as the first half expired put the Bald Eagles in front 38-36.

Lock Haven kept the momentum and quickly extended its lead to 44-36 on Sami Lane's lay-up two minutes into the second half.

Pitt-Johnstown battled back with seven straight points from Sleighter to narrow it to one three minutes later, but the Bald Eagles answered again. This time, Lock Haven double-up the Lady Cats 18-9 over the next eight minutes to take a double-digit lead of 62-52 with 7:24 to play.

The Lady Cats came right back with a 12-2 run of their own, capped by DeCriscio's 3-pointer at 4:37, to knot it at 64. Pitt-Johnstown then took a 74-72 lead on Sleighter's conventional 3-point play, but J.J. Hilliard's baseline fall-away jumper with 25 second on the clock tie it at 74 and forced the overtime.

Hlliard knocked down two more jumpers to start the extra period. The Lady Cats answered with Sleighter's fifth 3-pointer of the night and a driving lay-up from
Dominique Smith to retake the lead.

Lock Haven then held a one-point advantage 48 seconds on the clock, but
Leah Hansen scored off the dribble, and
Olivia Rizzo connected on four consecutive free-throws down the stretch to help seal the win.

Sleighter's game-high 26 points and six rebounds paced four Lady Cats who scored in double figures. DeCriscio was 4-6 from 3-point range and finished with 17 points.  Harper had 14 points and six rebounds, and Rizzo added 13 points, including a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line.

Pitt-Johnstown, which held a 45-33 advantage on the glass, shot an even 41.7% (25-60) from the field, 10-25 from behind the 3-point line, and 25-40 from the free-throw line. Lock have ended the night shooting 53.7% (36-67) from the floor, 2-5 from 3-point range, and 6-11 from the charity stripe.

Hilliard had 21 points and Lane chipped-in 13 points to lead Lock Haven, which dropped to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC Eastern Division.

The Lady Cats host a PSAC Crossover doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Bloomsburg University on Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center, before closing out the first semester at East Stroudsburg University on Saturday.Â
