Box Score
Nicole Carman scored 20 points off the bench and the Lady Cats opened-up a 17-point second half advantage on their way to an 85-78 PSAC West victory over Seton Hill University, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown made it two straight wins and improved to 9-14 overall and 6-7 in conference-play.

After Seton Hill went up 3-2 less than two minutes into the game, the Lady Cats used a 15-run over the next six minutes to go in front by eight on Inaya Stephenson's lay-up at 12:40.

Paige Alviani's jumper two minutes later cut the Griffins' deficit to five, but back-to-back Kelsey Sleighter 3-pointers pushed Pitt-Johnstown's lead into double digits with six minutes left in the half.

The Lady Cats eventually built to 12 at 36-24 on Sleighter's fourth 3-point of the half, before Pitt-Johnstown went into the halftime break up 38-28.

Another 3-pointer from Sleighter to open the second half extended it to 13, before the Griffins answered with eight straight points of their own to pull to within five at 41-36 on two Alviani free-throws.

However, a long 3-pointer from Leah Hansen quickly got the lead back to, before a 3-pointer from Carman closed out a 28-16 run over the next 11 minutes that gave Pitt-Johnstown its largest lead of the day at 69-52 with 6:11 to play.

Seton Hill battle back to cut it to it to seven late, but Pitt-Johnstown wouldn't allow the Griffins to get any closer.

Alviani's game-high 23 points and five rebounds, and Katie Gattuso's 22 points and game-high nine rebounds led the way for Seton Hill, which lost its fifth straight game and dropped to 12-12 overall and 4-10 in the PSAC West.
