Lauren Testa netted two goals for the Lakers to contribute to a 6-1 PSAC win for Mercyhurst over the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, Saturday afternoon during senior day at the Pitt-Johnstown soccer field. The Lady Cats fell to 0-10-0 overall and 0-10-0 in conference-play.

Testa opened scoring for Mercyhurst just two minutes into play after heading the ball past Pitt-Johnstown keeper
Leigh Appolonia off of a cross to the far post from Kristina Roberti and Nikki Charboneau.
Two minutes later, an assist from Kristina Roberti led Nicole McAlpin to a shot from inside the box, making the score 2-0 at the end of the first half.
Building off of a lead, Mercyhurst opened the second half with a goal in the 49
th minute from Lauren Testa who finished with a goal in the left corner of the net from Fawn Mulholland.
After a breakaway goal in the 53
rd minute from Roberti assisted by Testa, the Lady Cats answered shortly after with a goal from
Brittany Montano who found the back of the net after rebounding a shot from Rachel Flemming.
With the score 4-1, Mercyhurst regained momentum and held onto the lead scoring two more goals from Aurelia Pleyer and Fawn Mulholland to secure a 6-1 victory over Pitt-Johnstown.
Appolonia suffered the loss in goal for the Lady Cats after facing 28 shots from the Lakers and making 11 saves.
Ellie McDougall earned the win in goal for Mercyhurst after seeing 11 Pitt-Johnstown shots and making eight saves. The Lakers improved their record to 5-3-2 overall and 4-3-2 in the PSAC.
The Lady Cats travel to Slippery Rock University for a PSAC match on October 2 before returning home for two matches. Pitt-Johnstown will face PSAC competitor Lock Haven University on October 10 and Davis & Elkins College on October 13 for a non-conference game. Â
