Pitt-Johnstown got a game-high 18 points from
Kayla DeCriscio to battled back from a 15 point deficit to take a two-point second half lead, but Gannon used a late 11-0 run to regain the and hold off the Lady Cats 69-58 Saturday afternoon at the Hammermill Center in Erie. The Lady Cats dropped to 9-14 overall and 6-13 in the PSAC.

Pitt-Johnstown started slow, hitting just one of its first nine shots, and shooting just 26% in the first half.

Gannon took advantage of the poor shooting and jumped out to a 15-5 lead seven minutes in on five straight points from Morgan Neighbors.

Kayla DeCriscio's 3-pointer cut it to 15-10, but the Golden Knights scored the next eight, capped by a Mollie Sebald 3-pointer at the midway point, to increase their lead to 23-10.

The Lady Cats clawed back to within nine on buckets from
Kelsey Sleighter and
Jamie Tabon and a free-throw from
Nicole Carman at the eight-minute mark, before two straight Lanise Saunders' jumpers in the paint gave Gannon its largest lead of the first half at 34-19.

DeCriscio then connected on her third 3-pointer, and
Leah Hansen scored at the buzzer to narrow the Pitt-Johnstown deficit to 34-24 at the half.

Pitt-Johnstown maintained the momentum to start the second half and extended the run to 12-5 to pull to within seven at 38-31 on
Olivia Rizzo's 3-pointer at 16:12.

The Lady Cats weren't done yet. Tabon's 3-pointer four minutes later cut it to 45-40, and Sleighter knocked down a 3-pointer at 9:46 to knot it at 45.

Pitt-Johnstown completed the comeback and took its first lead of the day at 51-50 on DeCriscio's jumper, before another DeCriscio 3-pointer put the Lady Cats up 52-54 with 6:54 to play.

However, Gannon scored the next 11 points to rebuild retake the lead and build it to 63-54 on Brianna Brennan's 3-pointer with 1:21 left and went on to hold off the Lady Cats.

DeCriscio's 18 points, including 4-6 from behind the 3-point line led the Lady Cats. Sleighter had eight points and six rebounds, while Carman and Rizzo each scored seven points. Pitt-Johnstown also got five points and a game-high 14 rebounds from
Jasmine Harper in the loss.

Carman is currently 18
th on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,211 points and 13
th on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Rebounding List with 662. Harper is 21
st on the all-time rebounding list with 565 rebounds, and 78 points shy of becoming the Lady Cats' 36
th 1,000-point scorer. In addition, Sleighter is 27
th on the scoring list with 1,094 points. Sleighter holds the record for career 3-pointers with 197 and her 70 3-pointers this season are seven shy of Shelley Helsel's record of 76 set in 1995-96.

After shooting 26% in the first half, the Lady Cats ended the day shooting 30.6% (19-62). Pitt-Johnstown was also 8-32 from 3-point range and 12-17 from the free-throw line. Gannon shot 34.8% (24-69) from the floor, 8-19 from behind the 3-point line, and 13-20 from the charity stripe.

Neighbors finished with 15 points, and Sebald added 14 points for the Golden Knights, who improved to 17-6 overall and 16-4 in the PSAC.
