Pitt-Johnstown was able to keep it close early. After Zhane Brooks' basket four minutes in put IUP up by five, two McCabe free-throws and a lay-up by Harper got the Lady Cats to within one at 9-8.
The Crimson slowly began to pull away behind 18 first half points from Lindsay Stamp and that was as close as Pitt-Johnstown would be the rest of the way.
IUP went on a 15-7 run that saw Stamp score nine points to build the lead to 24-15 with 9:17 left, before the Lady Cats narrowed it to five on
Olivia Rizzo's basket two minutes later.
However, the Crimson Hawks went on to outscore Pitt-Johnstown 19-9 over the final 7:48 to build a 19 point halftime advantage.
Stamp connected on two free-throws at 5:38 to push the IUP lead into double digits. Stamp then hit back-to-back 3-poitner to extend it to 19, before Books' conventional 3-point play gave the Crimson Hawks their largest lead of the half at 43-33 with just over a minute remaining.
Pitt-Johnstown then got a put-back from McCabe as time expired to make it 43-24 at the break.
It was more of the same for Pitt-Johnstown in the second half. Steals and breakaway layups from Stamp and Marita Mathe on consecutive Lady Cat possessions got the lead out to 25, and a Marina Wareham 3-pointer at 11:34 made it 63-36.
The Crimson Hawks never allowed the Lady Cats to get any closer than 24 the rest of the way. IUP got eight straight points from Stamp to extend it to 34 with 6:27 left, before Brooks' jumper at 5:26 gave the Crimson Hawks their largest lead of the day at 80-45.
Harper's 17 points and McCabe's 11 points accounted for the only Lady Cats to score in double figures. Carman had eight points and four rebounds, while Sleighter collected seven points, two rebounds, and two assists in their final games in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown also got six points from
Kayla DeCriscio off the bench.
