After dropping a pair of games to Kutztown Saturday evening, the Golden Bears made it three straight victories over the Mountain Cats with a 5-4 win, Sunday afternoon in Wilson, NC.Â
Nate Negri had three hits and drove in a run for Pitt-Johnstown, which slipped to 0-11.

Negri went 3-for-5 and drove in a run, while
Sam Barbera had two hits, including a double, and two RBI. The Mountain Cats also got an RBI from
Ernesto Rizzitano in the one run loss.

Andrew Keirn got the start and suffered the loss to fall to 0-1 after allowing three runs on six hits over the first four innings.Â
Brad Coleman surrendered a pair of runs in one inning of work, and
Logan Fluke held the Golden Bears scoreless on two hits over the final four innings.

With the win, Kutztown improved to 3-0 to start the year.

The Mountain Cats will play a doubleheader against East Stroudsburg on Monday to wrap-up the weekend trip to North Carolina, before opening conference-play with a doubleheader against Gannon on Friday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.Â
