Mason Prickett each had two hits and an RBI , but it was enough as Clarion dropped the Mountain Cats to 0-12 with a 6-3 victory Sunday evening in Wilson, N.C.

Pitt-Johnstown opened-up a 3-0 lead in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly from
Jake Stern, and RBI hits from Williams and Prickett, but the Golden Eagles answered with two in the bottom of the frame and held Pitt-Johnstown scoreless the rest of the way.

Prickett singled, doubled and drove in one, while Williams had two singles and an RBI to lead the Mountain Cats.Â
Ernesto Rizzitano,
Nate Negri,
Dillon Boyer, and
Lino Bravo also had hits for Pitt-Johnstown.

Ken Gault started and got a no-decision after surrendering three runs on three hits in 1.1 innings.Â
Justin Beimel suffered the loss and dropped to 0-1. Beimel tossed 2.2 innings in relief of Gault and allowed two runs on six hits.

With the victory, Clarion improved to 1-3.

The Mountain Cats will play a doubleheader against East Stroudsburg on Monday to wrap-up the weekend trip to North Carolina, before opening conference-play with a doubleheader against Gannon on Friday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.Â
