After trailing for nearly three full quarters,
Olivia McCabe's basket with just over two minutes remaining completed a 13-point comeback and gave Pitt-Johnstown the lead for good in a 72-64 PSAC Crossover victory over Mansfield University, Sunday afternoon in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 5-2 overall and evened its record at 2-2 in the PSAC Western Division.

McCabe's lay-up to start the game gave Pitt-Johnstown the lead, but Mansfield took control and used a 23-8 run over the next seven minutes to build a 13-point advantage of its own on baskets from Bella Ricci and Brielle Kelly with 2:23 left in the first quarter.

The Mounties held a 10-point lead entering the second quarter, before Pitt-Johnstown clawed to within three at 29-26 with 3:47 left in the first half on
Victoria Moreland's 3-pointer.

A pair of free-throws from Alyssa Mullins at the 1:40 mark got Mansfield's lead back to eight, but
Laurel O'Barto's jumper on the Lady Cats' next possession narrowed it to 34-28 at the break.

Pitt-Johnstown kept it close and cut the gap to two after three quarters. Two more 3-pointers from Moreland in the opening minutes of the third quarter got the deficit down to three, and
Maurina Nunn's bucket with six seconds left make it 53-51.

O'Barto opened the fourth-quarter with a 3-pointer to finally give the lead back to Pitt-Johnstown by one, but Mansfield quickly got baskets to Mullins and Melanie Taylor to go back in front.

A 3-pointer from Tianna Jackson put the Mounties in front by four at 62-58 with four minutes left.

However, Pitt-Johnstown held Mansfield to just one basket the rest of the way and closed out the game on a 14-2 run. Â McCabe scored in the paint at 2:15 to put the Lady Cats in the lead for good, and Tabon and O'Barto went on to connect on four straight free-throws in the final 38 seconds to seal the win.

McCabe finished with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Moreland added 17 points to lead four Lady Cats who scored in double figures. O'Barto had 14 points and a game-high 11 assists, and Tabon chipped-in 10 points and six rebounds. Pitt-Johnstown also got eight points off the bench from Nunn.

The Lady Cats shot 41.1% 27-65 from the field, but just 5-26 from 3-point range. Pitt-Johnstown was also 13-16 from the free-throw line. Mansfield shot 43.4% (23-53) from the floor, 7-14 from behind the 3-point line, and just 11-22 from the charity stripe.

Taylor scored 15 points and Mullins had 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Mounties, sho fell to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the PSAC East.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to non-conference games at the University of Charleston (WV) on Wednesday at Ohio Valley (WV) on Thursday, before returning home to host a PSAC doubleheader with the Mountain Cats on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
