th-ranked Millersville University built a 10-1 after lead five innings, before adding 11 more runs over the rest of the way on its way to defeating the Mountain Cat baseball team, 21-1, Friday evening in Williamston, N.C. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 0-3 to start the season.

After falling behind 10-0 in the fifth inning, the Mountain Cats got a base hit from
Dylan Kerstetter that chased home Dylan Boyer for Pitt-Johnstown's lone run of the night.

Along with Kerstetter,
Ernesto Rizzitano and
Luke Williams both had hits for the Mountain Cats.

Luke Miller took the loss on the mound for Pitt-Johnstown after allowing six runs on 10 hits over the first 2.2 innings.

Tyler Orris went 4-for-7 with three doubles, two RBI, and four runs to lead Millersville, which finished with 21 runs on 21 hits. Ben Snyder belted a homerun and drove in four, while Chas McCormick had three hits and four RBI.

Brandon Miller earned the win for the Marauders after giving up one run on three hits over the first five innings. Four other Millersville pitchers combined to hold Pitt-Johnstown hitless over the final four innings.

With the win, the Marauders improved to 4-1.

The Mountain Cats will wrap-up the weekend trip to Williamston, N.C. with non-conference games against Indiana University (PA) on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Bloomsburg on Sunday at 9 a.m., before traveling to Concord (WV) University for a 3-game non-conference series next weekend.Â
