After dropping the first game of a PSAC Western Division doubleheader at Point Stadium to IUP, 11-8, Pitt-Johnstown used a homerun from
Luke Williams and a complete-game from
Shane Supanick to earn the split with a 14-4 victory in the nightcap. The Mountain Cat are now 16-23 overall and 9-13 in the PSAC West.

In game one, IUP built a 7-0 lead in the third inning, then held off a five-run Mountain Cat fifth inning in the 11-8 win.

Dillon Boyer went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and
Nate Negri drove in two to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Williams also had two hits and drove in one.

Trentin Martin suffer the loss in relief of starter
Brantley Rice after surrendering four runs on seven hits over the final 4.3 innings. Rice pitched the first 2.1 innings and gave up seven runs (5 earned) on six IUP hits.

In game two, Pitt-Johnstown exploded for 11 runs on eight hits in the third inning and cruised to the 14-4 win.

Supanick got the job done on the mound, holding the Crimson Hawks to just four runs on just five hits in the complete-game effort.

Dylan Kerstetter,
Jake Stern,
Ernesto Rizzitano, and Negri all had a pair of RBI.

Pitt-Johnstown will conclude the four-game PSAC Western Division series with a doubleheader at IUP on Saturday. The Mountain Cats will then travel to California (PA) on Friday, before hosting a conference doubleheader against the Vulcans for Senior Day on April 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Point Stadium.
