th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers spotted No. 6 Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University an 11-3 lead Friday night in Wheeling, W.Va., but bounced with four straight wins to build an 18-11 lead of its own. However, the Cardinals won the final two bouts to tie it at 18. After a meeting at the scorer's table, Pitt-Johnstown was awarded a 19-18 win on the third criteria. The Mountain Cats scored 66 total points, while Wheeling Jesuit had 60 team points. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 11-2 on the season.

After the Mountain Cats battled back to take the 18-11 lead, the Cardinals stayed alive and narrowed the gap to just three with Terrance Fanning's 12-0 major decision over
Nico Pecora to setup the finale between Wheeling Jesuit's Maxwell Lacey and Pitt-Johnstown's
D.J. Sims at 285 lbs.

With the scored tied 1-1 late in the third period, Lacey took Sims down with just one second left in regulation gave to earn a 3-1 win and knot the score at 18.

Following a lengthy discussion at the scorer's table, Pitt-Johnstown was awarded the victory on total points scored.

Wheeling Jesuit opened the match with a pair of wins and climbed out to a 7-0 lead. Jacob Donahue held on for a narrow 3-2 win over
Zeke Beatty at 125 lbs., and ninth-ranked Dustin Warner built a 10-1 first period lead and dealt
Joe Davis a 14-3 loss at 133 lbs.

Pitt-Johnstown got a 4-1 decision by
Chris Eddins over Nolan Whitely at 141 lbs., but the Cardinals answered right back at 149 lbs. with a 13-4 major decision by Dominick Nania.

However, the Mountain Cats stormed back with four straight wins to go up 18-11. Top-ranked
Cody Law got things started with a 23-10 major decision over Greg Brusco at 157 lbs., and
Steve Edwards dealt Nic Sconieczny a 9-1 major decision loss to tie the score at 11.

Levi Niebauer's 13-3 major decision victory over Keegan Driscoll at 184 put the Mountain Cats up 18-11 with two bouts remaining.
