Jamie Tabon poured in a career-high 32 points and
Laurel O'Barto added 11 points, but Seton Hill used a 16-2 run to start the second quarter to build a 15-point advantage on its way to an 82-66 PSAC Western Division Victory over Pitt-Johnstown, Wednesday evening in Greensburg. The Lady Cats dropped to 7-20 overall and 3-18 in the PSAC West.
Olivia McCabe and Tabon combined for Pitt-Johnstown's first 10 points to give the Lady Cats a slim one-point lead midway through the first quarter.
Seton Hill answered with a 9-2 spurt over the next four minutes to go in front 18-12 on Mariah Wells' pointer and a Lexi Civitollo bucket in the paint, but Tabon's 3-pointer with under a minute left in the quarter got Pitt-Johnstown back to within three at 18-15.
The Griffins knocked five three-pointers in a 16-2 run over the first 7:30 of the second quarter that increased the lead to 15.
Pitt-Johnstown got a 3-pointer of its own from
Alexis Hartwick to cut it to 38-28 with :39 remaining, before Halie Torris' bucket for Seton Hill made it 40-28 at the half.
After
Gabrielle Smith's 3-pointer on Pitt-Johnstown's first possession of the third quarter got the deficit back into single digits, baskets from Jenna Kaufman and Alexandra Hay, and a 3-pointer from Torris pushed the Griffins lead to 56-37 at the 2:27 mark.

The Lady Cats clawed back to within a dozen on two occasions, with the last coming on Tabon's basket with 5:37 to play, but Seton Hill wouldn't let it get any closer.
Along with Tabon and O'Barto, McCabe had seven points and a game-high 15 rebounds, while Hartwick and Smith scored five points each to lead the Lady Cats.
With her 15 rebounds, McCabe moved in 24
th-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Rebounding List with 537.
Pitt-Johnstown shot 38.1% (24-63) from the field, 5-22 from 3-point range, and 13-19 from the free-throw line. Seton Hill, which held a 48-29 advantage on the glass, ended the evening shooting 505 (32-64) from the floor, 9-22 from behind the 3-point line, and 9-14 from the charity stripe.
Wells scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Hay and Kaufman added 11 points each for the Griffins, who improved to 16-12 overall and 12-10 in the PSAC West.
The Lady Cats will wrap-up the 2016-17 season with a Senior Day doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Slippery Rock on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
