Brett Hileman had two doubles and drove in four to help Pitt-Johnstown earn a 14-9 win in Sunday's first game of a non-conference doubleheader at Concord (WV) University. Concord answered with an 8-3 win in the nightcap to secure the split. The Mountain Cats are now 8-3 on the year.

In the opener, Pitt-Johnstown erased a one-run deficit with seven runs in the fifth inning on its way to the 14-9 victory.

Hileman went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four EBI, and
Luke Williams had two hits, including a double, and two RBI.Â
Dan Clark also drove in two runs for the Mountain Cats.

Trent Martin earned the win in relief of starter
Brady Walker. Martin pitched the final four innings and allowed six runs (4 earned) on eight hits, while striking out three and walking none. Walker tossed the first three innings and surrendered three runs (2 earned) on four hits.

In game two, the Mountain Cats cut a five-run deficit to three with two runs in the sixth, but Concord added three runs in the bottom half of the frame and went on to the 8-3 win.

Jack Shirk had two hits and an RBI, and Clark added two more hits for Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats also got a hit and an RBI from Williams.

Shane Supanick took the loss after giving up five runs (4 earned) on four hits over the first four innings.Â
Ben Foose pitched the final two innings and allowed three runs (2 earned).

With the split, Concord is now 3-9.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to the University of Charleston (WV) for a 3-game non-conference series on Saturday and Sunday, before making its 2017 home debut with a non-conference doubleheader against Lock Haven on March 8 at Point Stadium.
