Dylan Kerstetter added three RBI, but the University of Charleston (WV) erased a seven-run deficit with four runs in the third inning and six more in the fourth to down the Mountain Cats, 14-11, to open a three-game non-conference series in Charleston, W.Va. on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown is now 8-4.

Pitt-Johnstown jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the third inning, but the Golden Eagles answered with 10 runs over the next two innings and went on to the 14-11 victory.

Williams went 3-for-5 with a homerun and three RBI, and Kerstetter collected three hits and drove in three to lead the Mountain Cats' 16-hit attack.Â
Jack Shirk had two hits, including a double, and a pair of RBI, while
Brett Hileman had two hits and RBI.Â
Scott Thompson also drove in two, and
Evan Appleby had two hits, including a double.

Shane Supanick suffered the loss in relief of starter
Brantley Rice. Supanick surrendered six earned runs on three hits in just 2/3 of an inning. Supanick also walked four. Rice started and gave up six runs on six hits over the first three innings.

With the win, Charleston improved to 5-3.

Pitt-Johnstown wraps-up the three-game series at Charleston with a doubleheader on Sunday, before making its 2017 home debut with a non-conference game against Lock Haven on Wednesday at Point Stadium and a three-game non-conference series against Winston-Salem State (NC) next week.
