After Pitt-Johnstown swept a pair of games from Gannon University in Johnstown on Saturday, the Golden Knights returned the favor and sept the Mountain Cats in Erie on Sunday. Elijah Quiceno's solo home run in the bottom of the sixth broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Gannon to a 3-2 victory over the Mountain Cats in the opener, before Matt Oruch's walk-off, two-run single in the bottom of the seventh gave the Golden Knights a 4-3 win in the nightcap.

Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 13-19 overall and 3-9 in the PSAC West.

In the opener, the Mountain Cats erased an early one-run deficit with two runs in the second inning.Â
Dan Clark led off with a double and scored on
Scott Thompson's base hit, before
Tanner Cook's single to center plated Thompson.

The Golden Knights tied it in their half of the second on a Kyle Cox RBI single, then got the solo home run from Quiceno in the bottom of the sixth that broke the tie.

The Mountain Cats got a pinch-hit, lead-off double from
Zach Zinn in the seventh, but David Cricks got Cook to ground into a game-ending double play to pick-up the win in a complete-game effort.

Thompson and Cook each had RBI singles, and Clark and Zinn doubled to account for the four Pitt-Johnstown hits.

Trent Martin suffered the loss and dropped to 1-2 after allowing three earned runs in six innings. Martin also walked two and struck out two.

In game two,
Dylan Kerstetter's base hit in the top of the fifth scored
Joe Gagliardi to put the Mountain Cats up 3-1.

However, Gannon cut it to one with a run in the bottom of the fifth, The Golden Knights tied it in the seventh on Gregory Nicolia's RBI groundout, before Oruch's ground ball through the right side off of Pitt-Johnstown reliever
Tyler Black scored Charles Benack with the winning run.

Nathan Bearer suffered the loss after giving up four runs (3 earned) on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings. Bearer, who fell to 2-3, also struck out four and allowed just one walk.

Clark singled and drove in a pair, while Ketstetter accounted for Pitt-Johnstown other RBI.

With the sweep, Gannon improved to 15-13 overall and 5-7 in the PSAC West.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Seton Hill on Friday to open four-game home-and-home PSAC series, before hosting the Griffins for a pair of games on Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m. at Point Stadium.
