After suffering a 5-3 loss to Fairmont State (WV) University in Thursday's 2018 season-opener in Mooresville, NC, the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team got a walk-off, RBI single from
Dylan Kerstetter in the bottom of the night in game two to lift the Mountain Cats to an 11-10 victory.

Pitt-Johnstown trailed 10-6 after three innings in the nightcap, but rallied to force extra innings, before Kerstetter's bases loaded single in the ninth chased home
Scott Lucas with the game-winner.

In game one,
Jack Shirk went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI, and
Cameron Gerhard added two hits, including a double.

Brady Walker started for the Mountain Cats and took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits over the first 2 2/3 innings. Nater Bearer fanned five and surrendered just one run on two hits in 3 1/3 innings.

In game two 11-10 victory,
Scott Thompson had three hits, including a 2-run home run and Gerhard collected three hits and drove in one. Kerstetter chipped in two hits and two RBI, and
Tyler Smith singled and doubled for Pitt-Johnstown.

Ben Foose earned the win in relief of starter
Trent Martin. Foose didn't allow a hit or a run over the final four innings. He also struck out six and walked one.
