Pitt-Johnstown point guard Fred Mulbah became the fifth Mountain Cat to garner PSAC West Freshman of the Week honors when the conference office released this week's winners on Monday.  Mulbah averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in a pair of Pitt-Johnstown games last week.

In a tight 64-61 loss at Gannon last Wednesday, Mulbah scored a team-high 16 points on 6-11 shooting from the floor, grabbed five rebounds, and had game-highs of four assists and four steals.

On Saturday, Mulbah poured in a career-high 21 points on 8-11 shooting, including 4-5 from behind the 3-point line.  He also added four rebounds, seven assists and one steal in the Mountain Cats' 100-88 PSAC victory over Edinboro in the Sports Center.

Mulbah joins two-time honoree John Paul Kromka and one-time winners Jared Jakubick and Joe Batt as PSAC West Freshman of the Week winners in 2018-19.
