
Eight Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers were ranked in the Top-6, including five who earned No. 1 rankings, when the 2019-20 Preseason NCAA Division II Super Region I rankings were released on Tuesday.
Two-Time NCAA National Champion
Chris Eddins secured the top-spot at 149 lbs., while All-Americans
Brendan Howard (125 lbs.) and
Devin Austin (165 lbs.) were ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes. In addition, Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University transfers and 2019 NCAA National Champions
Tyler Warner (133 lbs.) and
Connor Craig (184 lbs.) were also ranked first in their weight classes.
Along with the top-ranked wrestlers, 2019 All-American
Brock Biddle was ranked second at 174 lbs., and
Alex Delp (197 lbs.) and
Allan Beattie (285 lbs.) were both ranked fifth.
The Mountain Cats open the 2019-20 season with a PSAC match at East Stroudsburg on Friday and a Quad-Match at Rutgers (NJ) that includes a match with the Division I Scarlet Knights, on Saturday.
