Second-ranked St. Cloud State (MN) won the final six bouts to break a six-all tie on its way to handing the top-ranked Mountain Cat wrestlers a 31-6 loss in Saturday's second round of the North East Duals in Troy, NY.
 
Pitt-Johnstown split the first four bouts with each team winning a pair of decisions.  Seventh-ranked Brendan Howard gave the Mountain Cats a 3-0 lead with a 6-1 decision over Brandon Betancourt at 125 lbs., but the Huskies quickly tied it when fourth-ranked Garrett Vos defeated No. 1-ranked Tyler Warner at 133 lbs.
 
St. Cloud State took the lead with a 9-4 win by No. 11 Garrett Aldrich at 141 lbs., before two-time defending National Champion and No. 1-ranked Chris Eddins held off second ranked James Pleski, 3-2, at 149 lbs. to knot it at six.
 
However, the Huskies took control and won the final six bouts.
 
At 157 lbs., No. 1-ranked James Baszowski defeated Nate Smith, 7-4, and fourth-ranked Devin Fitzpatrick slipped by No. 2 Devin Austin, 3-1, at 165 lbs. to give St. Cloud State a 12-6 advantage.
 
The Huskies broke it open with falls in the next two bouts.  Fourth-ranked Devin Fitzpatrick pinned fourth-ranked Brock Biddle at 6:12 at 174 lbs., and no. 3 Tyree Overton pinned No. 3 Connor Craig at 2:40 at 184 lbs. to build the lead to 24-6.
 
St. Cloud State then got a 13-6 decision by Noah Ryan at 197 lbs., before Ezayah Oropeza scored a 13-3 major decision win at 285 lbs. to wrap it up.
