Seventh-ranked Ashland (OH) University opened-up a 9-3 lead after four bouts, but fourth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown came back to outscore the Eagles, 16-3, the rest of the way, including No. 12 Jacob Ealy's sudden victory win over No. 4 Chandler Minnard at 141 lbs., to lead the Mountain Cats to a 19-12 victory, Saturday afternoon in Ashland, Ohio.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 9-2.
 
The match started at 197 lbs. where Pete Abraham dealt Alex Delp a 7-4 loss, before Tristen Weirich followed with a 3-2 win over Allan Beattie at 285 lbs. to give Ashland a 6-0 lead.
 
Pitt-Johnstown got on the scoreboard at 125 lbs. when seventh-ranked Brendan Howard held off Christian Wellman, 10-9, but the Eagles got the lead back out to six at 9-3 with a decision win at 133 lbs.
 
However, it was all Mountain Cats after that.  At 141 lbs., Ealy got a takedown early into the extra period to earn a 3-1 sudden victory over Minnard, and top-ranked Chris Eddins shut out No. 10 Carson Speelman, 5-0, to knot it at nine.
 
Pitt-Johnstown increased the lead to 15-9 with wins at 157 and 165 lbs.  Nate Smith won a 9-2 decision over Josh Jaeckin to put the Mountain Cats in front, and third-ranked Devin Austin used an escape point and a point for riding time to hold off No. 10 Christian Price, 2-0.
 
Ashland narrowed the gap to 15-12 with one bout to go when No. 5 Bret Romanzak defeated No. 4 Brock Biddle, 3-1, at 174 lbs., but Pitt-Johnstown's fourth ranked Connor Craig sealed the win and set the final at 19-12 with a 9-1 major decision over Adian Pasiuk at 184 lbs.
 
The Mountain Cats will wrap-up the first semester with a home match against 10^th-ranked West Liberty (WV) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
