The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will host a PSAC Western Division doubleheader against Top-5 ranked Indiana (PA), Wednesday night in the Sports Center.  The women will tip-off against the third-ranked Crimson Hawks at 5:30 p.m., before the Mountain Cats take on IUP's third-ranked men's team at 7:30 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown, under sixth-year Head Coach Mike Drahos, improved to 12-11 overall and 8-8 in the PSAC after Saturday's 63-51 victory at Clarion.  Alli McGrath, the PSAC West Player of the Week, poured in a game-high 25 points, while Gabrielle Smith had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Tori Moreland added 11 points.  The Mountain Cats also earned a 73-68 win at Edinboro last Wednesday.

With her 13 points on Saturday, Smith moved to within 31 points of becoming Pitt-Johnstown's 38th 1,000-point scorer.

Nationally, Smith ranks second in both free-throws made (182) and attempted (227) and 19th in scoring (19.9 ppg.), and Nicole Olkosky is 60th in blocked shots (37).

Head Coach Tom McConnell's (6th season) third-ranked Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawks increased their win streak to five games with a 66-62 win at Gannon on Saturday.  Carolyn Appleby scored a game-high 23 points and Lauren Wolosik chipped-in 19 points.  IUP also defeated Slippery Rock, 88-51, last Wednesday.

Nationally, Wolosik is fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.3), sixth in assists per game (6.4 apg.), and 32nd is total assists (102), and Brittany Robinson ranks 12th in field goal percentage (59.4%).

On January 5, IUP dealt Pitt-Johnstown a 73-45 loss in the Kovalchick Complex.  McGrath's 15 points and six rebounds, and Smith's 14 points led the Mountain Cats.  The Crimson Hawks got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Lexi Griggs and 16 points from Appleby.

Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Mountain Cats slipped to 13-10 overall and 8-8 in the PSAC following a 96-88 loss at Edinboro last Wednesday and a 71-66 setback at Clarion on Saturday.  Caiden Landis scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Josh Wise had 16 points and seven rebounds, and Marcin Wiszomirski had 13 points against the Golden Eagles.
