Mike Drahos and the Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team earned the No. 5-seed in the Western Division and will make their first appearance in the PSAC Championship Tournament since 2014 when they visit fourth-seeded Seton Hill University for an opening round match-up, Monday evening. Tip-off for the first round game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

The winner of Monday's opening round match-up advances to a PSAC Quarterfinals at Western Division top-seeded Indiana (PA) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
The top six teams from each division earned an opportunity to win the PSAC Women's Basketball Championship, while the top two teams from each division earned a first-round bye.
The highest remaining seed from the East will host the semifinals and finals. The tournament winner earns an automatic bid to the NCAA DII Men's Basketball Tournament.
Pitt-Johnstown, 13-15 overall and 9-12 in the PSAC, closed out the regular season with a narrow 60-57 loss to Mercyhurst, Wednesday evening in the Sports Center.
Gabrielle Smith scored a game-high 19 points, while
Alli McGrath and
Tori Moreland each added 16 points for the Mountain Cats.
Smith leads Pitt-Johnstown in scoring (19.3 ppg.) and rebounding (6.9 rpg.), and McGrath is adding 17.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. In addition, Moreland is averaging 7.3 points per game, while
Maddie Shanahan is averaging 6.5 points and 5.7 rebounds, and
Nicole Olkosky is chipping-in 5.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Smith enters Monday's game in 31
st-place on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,053 points. Smith is just two points shy of tying Janet Kartovicky (1983-87) for 30
th-place on the scoring list.
Seton Hill, seeded fourth under sixth-year Head Coach Mark Katarski, enters Monday's game at 18-10 overall and 12-9 in the PSAC following Saturday's, 71-59, victory at No. 8 Indiana (PA). Megan Marecic had game-highs of 22 points and had 13 rebounds, while Courtney Cecere had 18 points and Cheyenne Trest collected 14 points to lead the Griffins.
Marecic' 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game and Trest's 12.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game pace Seton Hill. The Griffins are also getting 9.9 points per game from Lexi Civittolo and 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game from Katie Nolan. Courtney Cecere is adding 7.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Pitt-Johnstown and Seton Hill met twice during the regular season, and the Griffins won both games. On January 26, Marecic's 22 points led four Griffins who scored in double figures in an 86-64 victory in the Sports Center. Smith and McGrath had 16 and 12 points, respectively for Pitt-Johnstown. Seton Hill then earned a 74-54 win in Greensburg behind Marecic's 18 points and nine rebounds on February 21. Smith and McGrath each scored 14 points for the Mountain Cats.
