The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will play host to Gannon University for a PSAC Western Division doubleheader Thursday afternoon at Point Stadium. Game one is scheduled for 1 p.m. These games were originally scheduled for Friday, but due to the forecast of rain, the doubleheader was moved up one day.
Head Coach Todd Williams, already Pitt-Johnstown's "winningest" baseball coach, comes into the series against Gannon needing two victories to reach 500 for his career. Pitt-Johnstown swept a pair of games from Slippery Rock on Saturday.
Owen McKeever's walk-off, two-run single lifted the Mountain Cats to a 4-3 victory in game one. Pitt-Johnstown, currently fifth in the PSAC West, completed the sweep with a 9-2 victory in the nightcap.
Gannon, under fifth-year
Head Coach Greg Coleman, is 22-10 overall and tied with Mercyhurst for the lead in the PSAC Western Division at 12-4. The Golden Knights took 3-out-of-4 games from Indiana (PA) last weekend. Gannon opened the series with 10-6 and 5-4 wins in Erie, before taking game three in Indiana, 13-4. IUP won the finale, 9-7.
Last season, Pitt-Johnstown and Gannon split the four-game PSAC series. The Mountain Cats took the first two games 7-3 and 2-1 in Erie on April 13, before the Golden Knights answered with 11-6 and 15-3 victories at Point Stadium on April 14.

Pitt-Johnstown will conclude the four-game PSAC series against the Golden Knights in Erie on Saturday, before traveling to Seton Hill for a conference doubleheader next Friday.
