The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will conclude its four-game PSAC Western Division series against California (PA) with a doubleheader on Monday at 1 and 3 p.m. at Point Stadium.

Pitt-Johnstown, 16-12 overall and 4-6 in the PSAC Western Division, suffered 4-2 and 8-4 losses at California (PA) to open the four-game conference series on Saturday.  Zach Zinn had a double and Tyler Smith added an RBI single in game one.  Owen McKeever and Ben Foose each had two hits for the Mountain Cats in the nightcap.

Head Coach Mike Conte's (23^rd year) California (PA) Vulcans improved to 20-7 overall and 7-3 in conference-play following Saturday's sweep over Pitt-Johnstown.  In the opener, the Vulcans got two RBI apiece from Nico Marchetti and Patrick Brogan, while Nick Riggle held the Mountain Cats to two runs on four hits in a complete-game effort.  Marchetti then added two more RBI and Bill Hitman drove in two and scored two runs for California (PA) in the 8-4 win in game two.

Last year, California (PA) swept the four-game series against the Mountain Cats.  On March 30, the Vulcans earned a 7-6 win in eight innings and an 8-1 win in Washington, Pa, before completing the sweep with 19-7 and 7-5 victories at Point stadium on March 31.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Slippery Rock for a PSAC doubleheader on Friday, before hosting The Rock for a conference doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
