     The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will welcome back their alumni with a PSAC doubleheader against Edinboro, Saturday evening in the Sports Center. The women will tip-off at 5 p.m., before the men take on the Fighting Scots at 7 p.m.

Head Coach Mike Drahos's Pitt-Johnstown women's squad slipped to 12-10 overall and 7-9 in the PSAC West following Wednesday's 76-51 loss to California (PA) in the Sports Center.Â
Olivia Fasick had 10 points and five assists,
Ashley Norling scored nine points, and
Alli McGrath and
Gabrielle Smith each had eight points.
     Nationally, Smith ranks fourth in free-throws made (131), sixth in free-throws attempted (157), and 67
th in free-throw percentage (83.4%), while Fasick is 39
th in steals (52), 48
th in assists (90), and 62
nd in steals per game (2.36).
     Smith enters to game ranked ninth on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time Scoring List with 1,440 points and 24
th on the all-time rebounding list with 552 rebounds.

Head Coach Callie Wheeler's (2
nd season) Edinboro Fighting Scots increased their winning streak to six straight games with a 56-52 victory over Gannon on Wednesday.Â
Michaela Barnes and
Rana Elhusseini scored 26 and 24 points, respectively, and
Cheniya Sharpe pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds to help Edinboro snap Gannon's six-game winning streak.
     Nationally, Barnes ranks second in scoring (24.6 ppg.), 10
th in free-throws made (118), and 13
th in free-throws made (144) and Bridgette Shaffer is 17
th in 3-pointers per game (3.16), and 30
th in both 3-point field goals (30) and 3-point field goal percentage. Â In addition, Sharpe is fifth in offensive rebounds per game (4.8) and 50
th in rebounds per game (9.3) and Elhusseini is 29
th in free-throw percentage (87.3%).
     The Fighting Scots have won the last 11 meetings between the two teams, including an 86-55 victory in Edinboro on January 8.Â
Makalyn Clapper's 12 points and Smith's 10 points and four rebounds led Pitt-Johnstown. Edinboro got a game-high 24 points from Barnes and a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds from Sharpe.

    Pitt-Johnstown, 18-5 overall and in sole possession of second place in the PSAC West at 12-4 under
Head Coach Bob Rukavina, are coming off of a 103-94 victory over California (PA), Wednesday night in the Sports Center. The Mountain Cats hit 12 first-half 3-pointers, including six from
Josh Wise to erase an 11-point deficit. Wise scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while
John Paul Kromka (15 points, 11 rebounds) and
Caiden Landis (15 points 10 points) also had double-doubles.Â
Drew Magestro (17 points),
Fred Mulbah (11 points), and Jared
Jakubick (10 points) rounded out the group of six double-figure scorers against the Vulcans.
    Kromka is fourth nationally in blocks (61), seventh in blocks per game (2.65), 17
th in field goal percentage (62.1%), and 45
th in rebounds (182), while Mulbah ranks fourth in assists (170), seventh in assists per game (7.4), and 38
th in assist-to-turnover-ratio (2.39). As a team, Pitt-Johnstown is third in assists (447), sixth in assists per game (19.4), and ninth in field goal percentage (51.1%).

th-place on the Mountain Cat All-time Scoring List with 1,424 career points.
    Edinboro, 5-14 overall and 2-13 in the PSAC West under seventh-year
Head Coach Pat Cleary, has lost its last 10 games, including a 74-47 setback to Gannon on Wednesday.Â
Turner Kurt and
Trey Staunch scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Fighting Scots.
    Nationally for Edinboro, Staunch ranks 19
th in field goal percentage at 89.0%
    The Fighting Scots hold a 23-11 advantage in the all-time series, but the Mountain Cats are coming off of an 86-83 road win at Edinboro on January 8. Wise scored 23 points, Magestro scored 21 points, and Kromka chipped-in a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace Pitt-Johnstown. Edinboro was led by
Anthony Coleman's 23 points and double-doubles of 20 points and 17 rebounds from Staunch and 18 points and 12 rebounds from
Jaryn Simpson.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Slippery Rock for a conference doubleheader on Wednesday, before celebrating Senior Day with a PSAC doubleheader with the women's team against Clarion next Saturday in the Sports Center. The women will tip-off at 1 p.m., before the men recognize this year's seniors prior to the 3 p.m. tip-off.
