Head Coach Pat Pecora's sixth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers posted a 3-0 record and won 25 of its 30 bouts in an impressive showing at Saturday's Mountain Cat Quad Mat in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats, 5-0 on the season, outscored No. 19 Lake Erie (OH), Fairmont State (WV), and King (TN) by a combined score of 114-27.
 
      In Saturday's opener against No. 19 Lake Erie, 11^th-ranked Brock Biddle's fall at 184 lbs. capped an eight-point Pitt-Johnstown comeback and helped propel the Mountain Cats to a 29-15 victory.
      Trevon Gray's 8-1 decision over Jake Johnson at 125 lbs. gave the Mountain Cats the early lead, but Lake Erie followed with a decision win at 133 lbs., and sixth-ranked Christian Small's fall at 3:51 in the 141-lb. bout to go in front 9-3.
      Jacob Ealy, the top-ranked wrestler in the country at 149 lbs., got Pitt-Johnstown back to within two with his 12-3 major decision over Austin Fietz, before the Storm increased its lead to 15-7 with Jack Haskin's fall at 157 lbs.
      The Mountain Cats narrowed it to 15-11 when No. 11 Dillion Keane dealt Jake Potok an 8-0 major decision setback at 165 lbs.  Alex Weber then got a take down with :10 remaining in the third period to upset fourth-ranked James Penfold at 174 lbs. get the Mountain Cats back to within one at 15-14.
      Pitt-Johnstown finally regained the lead at 20-15 at 184 lbs. when Biddle pinned Jordan Barnett at 5:24.
      The Mountain Cats went on to clinch the match with Dakoda Rodgers' 4-1 decision over Brylan Clouse at 197 lbs. and seventh-ranked Isaiah Vance's fall at 2:24 at 285 lbs. closed it out.
 
      The Mountain Cats followed up the come-from-behind win over the Storm with a lopsided 48-0 victory over Fairmont State in the second round.  Pitt-Johnstown won all ten bouts, including nine with bonus points.  Dajauhn Hertzog (141 lbs.), Dillon Keane (165 lbs.), and Vance all won with first period falls in a combined time of just 3:41.  Pitt-Johnstown also got a first period 16-0 technical fall from Ealy at 149 lbs., a second period tech fall from Tony Salopek at 174 lbs., and a technical fall from Biddle in 5:38 at 184 lbs.  Gray, Bryon Daubert (133 lbs.), and Kyler Crawford (157 lbs.) all won by major decision, and Rodgers picked up a decision win at 197 lbs. for the Mountain Cats. 
 
      The Mountain Closed out the day with a 37-12 over King.  Pitt-Johnstown opened up a 19-0 lead after four bouts.  Gray's 18-3 technical fall at 5:47 and a 12-8 decision by Daubert gave the Mountain Cats a, 8-0 advantage, before Hertzog pinned Wyatt Coleman :23 seconds into the first period, and Ealy secured a 16-0 technical fall at 1:56.  King cut it to 19-6 with a pin at 157 lbs.  Pitt-Johnstown finished strong and won four of the final five bouts.  Along with a decision win by Keane (165 lbs.), the Mountain Cats got a fall from Biddle (184 lbs.) at :28, a technical fall at 1:09 from Rodgers (197 lbs.) and a 15-4 major decision from Oggie Atwood to close it out at 285 lbs.
 
     The Mountain Cats travel to No. 17 Ashland (OH) on Friday, Findlay (OH) in Saturday and to the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis on Dec. 17-18.  Pitt-Johnstown will wrestle its next home match on Jan. 18 when Gannon visits the Sports Center for a PSAC Match.
