Head Coach Mike Drahos' PSAC West No. 6-seeded Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team looks to continue its good play with a trip to Erie to take on West No. 2-seeded Gannon in Wednesday's PSAC Women's Basketball Quarterfinals in Erie. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Gannon's Highmark Events Center.

Wednesday's winner advances to the PSAC Women's Basketball Tournament's Semifinals to take on the winner of the East No. 5 Lock Haven/East No. 1 Kutztown game in Saturday's semifinals. The game will be played at the highest remaining seed in the PSAC Eastern Division.
The top six teams from both the Eastern and Western divisions earned an opportunity to compete in PSAC Women's Basketball Championship. The top two teams from each division earned a first-round bye. The highest remaining seed from the PSAC's Eastern Division will host the semifinals and finals. The tournament winner claims an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament.
HOW PITT-JOHNSTOWN GOT HERE
Pitt-Johnstown, 13-16 on the year, hit 13 3-pointers and shot 61.9% from behind the arc to deal West No. 3-seeded Seton Hill a convincing, 78-62, loss in Monday's opening round.
Peyton Alazaus hit 6-of-9 of her 3-point attempts and finished with 18 points and seven rebound, and
Makalyn Clapper had 17 points (3-5 3FG), five rebounds, and three steals. The Mountain Cats also got 15 points on 3-of-4 from 3-point range from
Hayden Taylor off the bench, and 13 points from
Ashley Norling.
PITT-JOHNSTOWN LEADERS
Norling (10.9 ppg.), Alazaus (10.6 ppg.), and
Olivia Fasick (10.2 ppg.) lead the Mountain Cats in scoring, while Clapper is adding 9.9 ppg.
Molly Wagoner (6.5 rpg.), Norling (5.6 rpg.), and Clapper (5.6 rpg.) pace the team in rebounding, while Fasick leads Pitt-Johnstown in assists at 4.2.

Head Coach Cleve Wright, earned a first round bye. The Golden Knights had their three-game winning streak snapped with Saturday's 63-57 home loss to California (PA).
Samantha Pirosko collected game-highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds, and
Emma Wright chipped-in a dozen points for Gannon.
GANNON LEADERS
Pirosko's 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds lead three Golden Knights averaging in double figures in scoring.
Tori Obenrader is adding 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, and Wright is averaging 10.0 and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Emily Poling's 3.4 assists per game pace Gannon.
SEASON SERIES
The Mountain Cats and Golden Knights each won a game on their home courts this season. On January 29, Clapper scored 17 points, while Norling had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Fasick totaled 16 points to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 72-53 victory in the Sports over the 14
th-ranked Golden Knights. Delaney Dogan had 16 points for Gannon.
Gannon evened the season series with a 66-61 win in Erie on February 7. Fasick (15 points), Alazaus (13 points), Clapper (12 points), and Norling (12 points all scored in double figures for the Mountain Cats. Pirosko and Obenrader each had 12 points and six rebounds to lead the way for the Golden Knights.
