Pitt-Johnstown picked-up a pair of 5-2 victories over West Liberty (WV) on Sunday to complete the four-game, non-conference series in Mason OH.
Dylan Broderick had two hits and an RBI in the opener, and
Asher Corl and
Josh Ulery each had two hits and drove in one in the nightcap to help the Mountain Cats improve to 6-3-1.
In the opener, neither team scored through the first seven innings, but the Mountain Cats exploded for five runs in the top of the eighth to take the opener 5-2.
Ben Briggs pitched the first six innings and held the Hilltoppers scoreless on just one hit, while striking out four and not allowing a walk.

Broderick went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while
Jake Ansell doubled and drove in one, and
Lennox Pugh had a hit and an RBI for the Mountain Cats.
In game two, Pitt-Johnstown built a 4-0 sixth inning lead and went on to complete the sweep with another 5-2 victory.
Corl was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Ulery collected two hits and an RBI for the Mountain Cats. Pitt-Johnstown also got a double and an RBI from Broderick,
Colin Pasone added a base hit and drove in one.
Four Pitt-Johnstown pitchers combined to limit the Hilltoppers to a pair of runs on six hits.
Wil Fetrow got the start and tossed four scoreless innings. Fetrow scattered three hits, fanned six, and walked none.

West Liberty fell to 0-12.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to East Stroudsburg for a four-game, non-conference series on Saturday and Sunday, before the Mountain Cats make their 2022 home debut with a non-conference doubleheader against Salem (WV) on March 19 at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
