
In the 2022 Ed Fry Invitational, the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Mountain Cats had a well-rounded and overall successful meet. This was highlighted by
Hunter Lindsay and
Solomon Adeoti taking home first place finishes in javelin throw and long jump respectively.
On the track Andrew Jeffrey took home fourth in the 100-meter dash with his time of 11.02 seconds.
Michael Ifidon earned eighth in the 100. His time was 11.28 seconds.
Marcello Legister ran a 17.38 in the 110-meter hurdles. This time was good enough for sixth. Jeffrey earned another fourth-place spot in the 200-meter dash with his time of 22.59.
Logan Williams ran a 23.14 in the 200 to finish seventh. Williams finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with his time of 50.71 seconds. Nick Rukavina ran a 1:02.23 to claim sixth-place.
The Mountain Cats had multiple top-eight finishers in the 400-meter hurdles.
Charlie Levander took home second (57.68),
Tyler Spaid earned third (57.81), and
Marcello Legister finished sixth (1:01.52).
Luke Cimakasky finished second in the 800-meter run with his time of 1:59.73. Other Pitt-Johnstown runners to rounded out the top-eight in this race. These runners were
Noah Lee (6
th-place – 2:07.46),
Helaman Forsyth (7
th-place - 2:07.91),
Michael Hanik (8
th-place – 2:13:95).

Hanik also had success in the 1500-meter run. He finished third with his time of 4:30.70.
Anthony Scott finished eighth in this race with his time of 4:50.20.
The 4x400-meter relay team finished second with a time of 3:35.13. The 4x800-meter relay team finished third. Their time was 3:45.38.
Bryce Batche earned a second-place finish in the discus throw with his top throw of 40.90-meters.
Hunter Lindsay claimed a fourth-place spot with a throw of 36.38-meters.
Cole Weist finished eighth with his top throw of 29.60-meters.
Lindsay placed second in the hammer throw with his top mark of 40.68-meters.
Jaylen Cooper finished fifth in the hammer throw. His top distance was 31.93-meters. Lindsay's success did not stop there as he took home the top spot in the javelin throw. His top throw was 52.51-meters.
Cole Weist finished second in the javelin throw with his top mark of 48.86-meters.
Cooper placed fourth in the shot put with his top mark of 12.60-meters. Batche finished sixth. His top throw was 11.32-meters.
In the high-jump, Pitt-Johnstown had three athletes inside the top eight.
Chris Colligan placed fourth (1.90-meters), Jacob Mann placed sixth (1.85-meters), and Clayton Engle placed eighth (1.80-meters).
Solomon Adeoti took home a first-place spot in the long jump with his top jump of 6.31-meters. Other Pitt-Johnstown long-jumpers were Cyrus Lyghts who finished fourth (5.88-meters) and
Justin Jackson who finished seventh (4.87-meters).
Engle finished third in the triple jump. His top mark was 13.36-meters.
Demetri Miller had a top mark of 13.06-meters in the triple jump. This distance was good enough to place Miller in sixth.
The Mountain Cats travel to Slippery Rock, PA for the Slippery Rock University Invitational on April 21st and then to Loretto, PA for the Saint Francis University Red Flash Open on April 30th.
