Between games of Thursday's doubleheader, Head Coach Todd Williams and the Pitt-Johnstown baseball program will recognize seven seniors on Thursday…Wil Fetrow, Grayson Hall, Owen McKeever, Colin Pasone, Lennox Pugh, Tyler Smith, and Brady Walker.

The Mountain Cats, 19-24-1 overall and 6-18 in the PSAC will close out the 2022 season against Gannon.  Pitt-Johnstown is coming off of a 17-11 non-conference victory at Bloomsburg on Tuesday.  Dylan Broderick belted a grand slam and five RBI, Smith had three hits and a two RBI, and Jake Ansell had two hits and drove in three.  The Mountain Cats also split a four-game PSAC series with No. 18 Slippery Rock last weekend.  After dropping the opener 12-0 in Slippery Rock on Friday, Pitt-Johnstown earned a 5-4 win in the nightcap.  On Saturday at Point Stadium, the Pitt-Johnstown won game one, 3-2, and lost 7-5 loss in the series finale.

Gannon, under first year Head Coach D.J. Cannon, is coming off of a four-game PSAC sweep over Indiana (PA) last weekend.  On Friday, the Golden Knights secured 6-3 and 6-2 wins in Erie, before completing the sweep with 9-5 and 6-4 victories in Indiana on Saturday.  Gannon was also scheduled to play a non-conference game against Lake Erie on Tuesday, but that game was postponed.

Last season, the Golden Knights took three of the four games from Pitt-Johnstown.  On April 30 in Johnstown, Pugh's walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh gave the Mountain Cats a 1-0 win.  Dylan Heid scattered three hits and struck out 11 in the complete-game victory.  Gannon came back with a 15-2 win in game two, before sweeping games in Erie on May 1, 8-4 and 7-3.
