Luke Cimakasky finished 13
th in a field that featured over 100 runners to help the Mountain Cats place fifth in a 10-team field at Saturday's tune-up for the PSAC Championships at the Bloomsburg Invitational.
Bloomsburg's Ryan Duff took home medalist honors, but Lock Haven claimed the team title with 49 points, one point better that second-place Kutztown.
Cimakasky's time of 27:27.4 in the 8K race was good enough for 13
th-place for the Mountain Cats, while teammate
Nathan Mienke finished seven spots later at 27:47.9. Pitt-Johnstown's
Nicholas Kelly placed 13
th at 28:45.8, while
Brandt Patterson was 42
nd (29:01.4), and
Noah Lee was 66
th (30:18.9).
Following Lock Haven and Kutztown in the top-five team standings was Bloomsburg (54 points), Indiana (PA) (118 points), and Pitt-Johnstown (150 points).
The Mountain Cats will travel to Bloomsburg for the 2023 PSAC Cross Country Championships in on Oct. 21, before traveling to Lock Haven for the 2023 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships on Nov. 4.
