Cross Country Teams to Travel to Edinboro for Saturday’s PSAC Championships

First-year Head Coach Anthony Dean-Neil and the Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's cross country teams will compete in Saturday's of the 2025 PSAC Championships, in Edinboro.  The women's 6K race on the Doug Watts Cross Country Course will begin at 10 a.m. with the men's 8K race scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
 
Seven Men and six women are scheduled to represent Pitt-Johnstown.
   
Last year, Nathan Mienke finished 36th with a time of 26:51.9 to lead the Mountain Cat men to a 11th-place finish out of 15 teams, and Audra Fedor placed 73rd at 24:43.2 as the women's finished 15th out of 17 teams.
 
In 2024, Shippensburg, led by individual medalist Garrett Quinan, cruised to the conference championship with 28 team points, 53 points better than runner-up East Stroudsburg.  The Mountain Cats were 11th with 318 points.
 
Slippery Rock Anna Igims won individual medalist honors on the women's side a year ago to lead The Rock to the team championship with 70 points, 18 points better than second-place Shippensburg.  Pitt-Johnstown finished 15th with 436 points.
 
Following Saturday's PSAC Championship, the Pitt-Johnstown men and women will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships at the West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven on Nov. 8.
