Nick Ramirez's Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in Saturday's 2024 PSAC Cross Country Championships, hosted by Kutztown University. The men's race will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's race scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
Ten Mountain Cat and seven women are scheduled to compete on Saturday
In 2023, Slippery Rock, led by Anna Igims' third-place finish, ran away with the women's PSAC Championship by 66 points over second-place Bloomsburg, while Shippensburg claimed the men's title with 26 team points, 39 points better than second-place Slippery Rock.
Last season,
Nathan Mienke placed 38
th with a time of 27:52.7 in a field of over 140 runners to lead the Mountain Cats to a 14
th-place finish out of 16 teams.
On the women's side,
Paige Greathouse led the way and earned All-PSAC honors with her 15
th-place (24:02.1) finish. As a team, the Pitt-Johnstown women placed 16
th in the 18-team field.
