The 15th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers broke a five-all tie with eight consecutive wins, including a fall from Chad Ozias at 149 lbs., to pick up a 41-5 victory over Findlay in Saturday's first round of a tri-match in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown is now 5-2.
 
The Mountain Cats got off to a quick start with eighth-ranked Trevon Gray's 18-3 technical fall at 4:35 over Adam Gelman in the bout at 125 lbs., but Findlay answered with a technical fall win at 133 to briefly knot it at five.
 
However, Pitt-Johnstown answered to win the final eight bouts.  Mason Myers' forfeit win at 141 lbs. gave the lead back to the Mountain Cats and Chad Ozias pinned Cade Cass at 2:58 at 149 to make it 17-5.
 
Pitt-Johnstown kept it going with a 2-0 win from Cooper Warshel over Logan Sansom at 157 lbs. and Gavyn Beck's 4-2 decision over Andrew Knick at 165 lbs.
 
After the Mountain Cats pushed it out to 29-5 with a forfeit win at 174 lbs., Noah Gnibus won a 10-5 decision at 184 lbs., before Pitt-Johnstown closed it out with a 21-6 technical fall at 2:20 from No. 8 Dakoda Rodgers at 197 lbs. and fifth-ranked Isaiah Vance dealt Giulian Bodiu an 11-1 major decision loss.
 
With the loss, the Oilers fell to 3-1.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will host a Tri-Match with Fairmont State (WV) and Findlay (OH) on Jan. 11 starting at 11 a.m. in the Sports Center, before hosting a PSAC match against Kutztown on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.
