Macon Myers (174 lbs.) and Noah Gnibus (184 lbs.) each won narrow decision victories to help the 18^th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers win the final four bouts and erase a four-point deficit in a 28-14 victory over Lake Erie (OH) to close out Saturday's tri-match in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats are now 4-2.
 
A pair of tight wins to begin the match helped the Mountain Cats jump out to an early lead.  At 125 lbs., No. 8 Trevon Gray used a take down :38 in overtime to defeat No. 20 Braden Hahlen, 9-6, and Tyson Cook got an escape with under :20 remaining to hold off Anthony Sagaris, 12-11 at 133 lbs.
 
That lead quickly evaporated at 141 lbs. when second-ranked Christian Small pinned Mason Myers at 5:58, but Pitt-Johnstown used a 15-4 major decision win from Chad Ozias at 149 lbs. go on top 10-6.
 
Lake Erie answered with a 5-2 win rom Matthew Kaufmann at 157 lbs., and fifth-ranked Jack Haskins' 18-3 technical fall victory at 165 lbs. to give the Storm its first lead of the day at 14-10.
 
However, Macon Myers used a strong third period to battled back for an 8-7 win over Vincent Scaramuzzino at 174 lbs. to narrow it to one, and Noah Gnibus secured a 4-2 win over Jordan Bennett at 184 lbs. to put the Mountain Cats in the lead for good.
 
Pitt-Johnstown wrapped it up when eighth-ranked Dakoda Rodgers pinned Quinn Gorman at 2:16 in the bout at 197 lbs., and fifth-ranked Isaiah Vance won by forfeit at 285 lbs.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will host a Tri-Match with Fairmont State (WV) and Findlay (OH) on Jan. 11 starting at 11 a.m. in the Sports Center, before hosting a PSAC match against Kutztown on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.
