
In a field of nearly 200 runners, Pitt-Johnstown's
Aiden Lechleitner finished 63
rd to guide the Mountain Cat cross country team to a 15
th-place finish at Saturday's Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh.
Ashland (OH) finished with four of the top-five runners, including individual medalist Nate Slater (24:24.50) and runner-up Wes Taylor, to claim the team title with 20 points in the 19-team field. Carnegie Mellon placed second with 95 points, followed by West Virginia Wesleyan (130 points), Point Park (165 points), and Carnegie Mellon's Alumni Team (179 points). Pitt-Johnstown was 15
th with 4760 points.
Lechleitner placed 63
rd with a time of 26:33.50 to pace the Mountain Cats.
Ryan Hayes was 123
rd at 28:15.70), while
Brandt Patterson was 146
th (29:16.10), and
Kaden Markovich (30:06.80) and
Tyler Harold (30:14.80) finished 157
th and 1578
th, respectively to round out Pitt-Johnstown top five runners.
The Mountain Cats travels to Edinboro for the 2025 PSAC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 25 and to the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships on Nov. 8.
