The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will start a four-game, home-and-home PSAC Western Division doubleheader against Clarion, Friday afternoon at Point Stadium.  With rain possible in the afternoon, game one is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. with game two scheduled for approximately 2:00.

Head Coach George Roberts and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats are 7-14 following Wednesday's 18-8 non-conference loss at Frostburg State.  Devon Boyles went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, while Alex Ebeling and Nathan Helms drove in two runs apiece.  The Mountain opened PSAC West play last weekend and suffer four tight losses to Slippery Rock.

Clarion, 11-9 overall under first-year Head Coach Johnny Poss, took three-of-four from Gannon to begin conference-play last weekend, before sweeping Penn State-New Kensington 11-1 and 4-3 on Wednesday.  Randy Carlo homered and drove in three in game one, and Connor Booth singled, doubled and had two RBI in the nightcap.

Since the 2005 season, Pitt-Johnstown holds a 35-22 advantage in the series.  However, Clarion swept last season's home-and- home series.  The Golden Eagles earned a pair of 9-8 wins in Johnstown on April 13, before completing the sweep with 13-10 and 6-0 wins in Clarion the next day.

Pitt-Johnstown opens a four-game PSAC series at nationally-ranked Seton Hill next Friday, before hosting a doubleheader against the Griffins next Saturday at Point Stadium.
