
The Pitt-Johnstown men's cross country team got a 17
th-place finish from
Aiden Lechleitner to lead the Mountain Cats to a fifth-place showing at Saturday's 8k Youngstown State (OH) University Open.

Running unattached, Owen Scott earned medalist honors at 26.26.81, while Gannon won the team title with 43 points, four points better than the hosts in the five-team field.

Lechleitner paced Pitt-Johnstown with a time of 28:37.60.Â
Brandt Patterson placed 26
th at 29:38.68 and teammate
Ryan Hayes finished just behind Patterson in 27
th-place at 29:38.68. The Mountain Cats also got a 38
th-place showing from
Kaden Markovich (31:12.25) and a 46
th-place finish from
Tyler Harold (32:29.18) to closed out Pitt-Johnstown top-five runners.

Behind Gannon and Youngstown State, Seton Hill was third (77 points), Fairmont State (WV) was fourth (85 points), and Pitt-Johnstown was fifth (108 points).

The Mountain Cats travel to the Lock Haven Invitational next Saturday and to the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Oct. 11.
