George Roberts and the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will continue PSAC West action when they host Slippery Rock on Friday at Point Stadium to begin a four-game, home-and-home series. Game times are scheduled for 1 and 3:30 p.m. The teams are scheduled to conclude the series on Saturday in Slippery Rock.
The Mountain Cats, who went 1-3 to begin conference-play last weekend against California (PA), come in at 10-14 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC West. Pitt-Johnstown is coming off a 5-0 non-conference loss to Bloomsburg on Tuesday.

Slippery Rock is 11-8 overall and 0-4 in the PSAC West under 41
st-year Head Coach Jeff Messer. The Rock suffered four straight losses to nationally-ranked Seton Hill in last week's PSAC series opener, before earning a 5-0 non-conference win over Walsh (OH) on Tuesday. Stone Powell went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, and Darryn Callahan added a homer and drove in two against Walsh.
Last season, Slippery Rock took four tight PSAC West games from the Mountain Cats. On March 21, the Rock earned 1-0 and 6-3 wins in Slippery Rock, before completing the sweep with 8-4 and 3-2 wins in Johnstown on March 22.
The Mountain Cats will host a non-conference game against Frostburg State (MD) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Point Stadium, then play a four-game conference series against Clarion next weekend.
